This is an example of FaceSaver for you to keep. It’s freeware, so there’s no guilt attached to it. But, if you want your own personal screen saver module, one with your own photo or a photo of someone you love (or hate), then read on and we’ll tell you what to do.
This demo version includes several variations on our basic riff. Once you decide to part with a tiny bit of your hard earned cash, you send us a photo of your loved one, your worst nightmare, your car, or the little old lady who lives next door. We scan the photo, plug it into our carefully engineered FaceSaver module, and mail you a disk. You drop the FaceSaver module into the same folder that holds your other screensaver modules, select FaceSaver on the control panel, and sit back. Pretty simple.
After you get your personal version of FaceSaver, you can customize it even more by entering text into our little floating text balloons, so the faces (or things) on your screen can talk to you all day long.
Let’s say you want a screen saver as a present for your mom and she happens to think Wayne Newton is right up there next to the Buddha on the all-time coolness scale. Send us a photo of Wayne Newton (assuming you took that photo yourself...copyright laws being what they are) and after you receive your FaceSaver disk you can plug in whatever text message you want Wayne to whisper to your mom as she works on her memoirs.
You might want a company logo to float around your screen and do interesting things; send us a copy of the logo and we’ll make it happen.
The standard FaceSaver package includes our soothing FaceSaver Classic Module and the hypercool Space Module, with alien fly-bys and a star-filled border. However, the demo version you have also includes our romantic, kissy-face Valentine’s Day Module, which is an example of our Custom Theme Capabilities. Given several hours notice, we can program a Themed Module to your specs; Christmas is just around the corner, your dog was born on Chinese New Year’s, your Dad’s a cowboy. Whatever the occasion, we’ll fix up a module with an appropriate border and send it your way.
Hey, the possibilities are infinite. You think of something cool and we’ll put it on your screen.
What’s required? You must have a color Mac and System 7 for everything to work like it should. You must have either DarkSide or After Dark on your machine so you can plug your module into something. You must have a sense of style and a taste for adventure.
